stroller for sale

Last year we bought this stroller: http://www.babytrend.com/sit_n_stand_dx/SS74740.html It's a stroller with a seat for a small child and a sitting platform for a larger child. Our thinking was that by the time Cicily had a smaller sibling this year, she'd be steady enough to sit on the platform of this stroller. Unfortunately she is not more steady and still cannot walk on her own. So, I asked a couple of my friends who have also had non-walkers and a baby, and they said a small double jogging stroller is a must! For us to get into doctors offices, therapy offices, etc. without making more of a commotion than we usually do, we'd like to buy one of these: http://www.philandteds.com/upload/index.php/push/46 A Phil and Ted's double stroller that Cis could sit in for years to come. (Never, ever thought I'd spend $500 on a stroller!)

If any of you out there know of someone who would like a Sit and Stand stroller, we'd love to sell them ours! It's been used a total of 3 times, so it's pretty much new. Thanks

Good luck! I'm looking to buy a double jogger too. I know Lindsay Cotter bought the Phil & Ted's one & she found hers on Craigslist for less so you might try there when you buy it??

I do have a friend that bought that one & hates it. Neither of her children like sitting down below & fight over the front seat. Before spending that much, you may want to find someone who has one & try it out???

Congrats on baby #3 by the way. I'm due in July with #4! I have a double Instep jogger and I absolutely love it. I refuse to use anything else when it comes to taking walks, going to the zoo, etc. It's so nice to push. The P&T you linked to looks like it would be great for in and out of stores, which is the one drawback to my wider side-by-side. For stores and such I've use a more narrow double umbrella stroller with seats that recline for babies. It's not as nice to push around, but it does the job. I don't think I could have survived my 3 small kiddos without both strollers.

Good luck!

I have the instep double jogger, too. I haven't seen the P&T where someone sits in back. The instep did fit in doctor's offices, but barely! it was nice to be able to talk to both of them together whie waiting in offices. But having one more narrow would be nice. When are you due again? I'm due April 29th with a boy!

how much??

We paid $130 + tax for it. We'd be very happy with $100. But, whatever someone will give us will be nice!

Thank you very much for everyone's opinions, this is very helpful for me - any more?!?!
Danielle, what kind of umbrella stroller are you talking about, like a classic Graco one?

I have a double jogger and a sit n stand and I love them both but the jogger is impossible to use in public. I have a friend that has a P&T and she just LOVES it! She has three girls and even the oldest girl who is 6 (her girls are small) still loves to ride in the back of the stroller. I was going to get it instead of getting two strollers, but I found both of mine for a great deal slightly used that I couldn't pass up. I hope it works great for you!

Lyndsay says her kids fight over who gets to sit in back. Lyla tolerates the back seat well in the P&T and I know Aulton would do fine there, as well. He's so easy-going. If you want to borrow mine to try it out, you are more than welcome to. you could see if Cicily minds sitting on the bottom. I love it, though. Easy to maneuver around stores, etc.

This is the stroller I have for the boys.

I love it! My mom said it pushes like butter. It folds really nice and even fits in our little Saturn trunk.

I love the side by side and I've never had a hard time getting it through doors. And the boys love sitting next to eachother.

Good luck in the search.

Oh, one other cool thing. It has a total rain sheild that pulls out of the visor and covers the whole stroller.

We had a Combi WE2 Twin (well that's what it was called in the UK, assume it'd be the same elsewhere?). Was the narrowest side-by-side we could find, and it was fab. Not as sturdy as the P&T but by the same token was much lighter and smaller to pack away etc! Depends what you want really - there's so many out there, it's a minefield, and depends a bit on Cicily's height/weight as some have more room than others etc. Would definitely say try before you buy if you can. Also, I'd check the P&T with Cicily in both seat positions - when baby is newborn s/he will go underneath, and with the seats that way round it means the seat on top (where Cicily will be) is really shallow - my friend had one and her son (2 at the time) looked like he was strapped to a board standing up, just didn't look comfy - is fine since his sister was old enough for them to swap the seats but was definitely 'odd' in those early months for him in the top seat. Also the P&T falls over very easily if the older child (ie on top/front seat) gets out - I looked after my friend's two for a few days over the time she had them both in it and it always tipped backwards, I'm sure there's a knack but I never got it!!
