And we are off on Cicily's wish trip!!!!!! This super cool limo picked us up from our house. (Grandpa took pictures - so limo pics to come.) I, of course cried as we were getting in the limo. I couldn't believe we were actually going! And nobody's really sick (yet - can't jinx us). I'm still pinching myself.
The girls were most impressed with the limo! They loved drinking bottled water out of these glasses - as you can see.
Cicily loved the star lights on the ceiling. She has glow-in-the-dark stars on her ceiling at home and so these color changing ones were super cool to her!
Just a goofy Sophie (We've decided she has her funny personality just to keep Cis laughing). She was wheeling this suitcase all around when we got to Orlando. It's as tall as her. She's done rather well with no nap and all the excitement so far.
In our villa at Give Kids the World. This place is even better than we imagined it and we were imagining awesomeness!!! Every one of the staff and huge numbers of volunteers are so very kind. They really just want to make us comfortable and happy. Whether it's a spare toothbrush, changing orientation times, getting Sophie a new balloon when hers pops, or giving helpful park tips. Everyone talks to Cicily and always include the other girls. We've been exploring for two nights and a morning so far and haven't even tapped the massive amounts of fun here! The girls are definitely feeling like they're being given the world.
One of my personal favorites- the ice cream parlor. Ice cream all day long every day. And not just lots of flavors of ice cream, but banana splits, shakes, malts, sundaes, cones, floats - you name it! And, there's not even a cash register here. Just tell the happy volunteers your desire and they serve it up. This is one of the reasons Cicily is loving tasting food on this trip I think! I tried to get Maya to eat ice cream with me for breakfast this morning, but it wasn't healthy enough. Who raised that girl???
Other highlights:
Cicily eating ice cubes on the plane and loving them!
Cicily and Sophie reading, eating, coloring, making animal noises, and of course watching Dora on the plane.
Sophie walking the moving sidewalks for nearly and hour in the airport.
Visiting Santa Claus at GKTW and each girl getting her own present from him.
The gifts waiting for us in our villa (snacks, plush Mickey and Shamus).
That's just the first day - stay tuned.
